Hello together,
I have a problem with a T5.
VCDS an ODIS onnect to the ECU 001 (engine ECU) and reads the identification data (software number, etc.) but can’t actually read the faults.
Log says:
No Faults Found
or DTCs not supported by controller
or a communication error occurred
Furthermore the other ECUs (aribag, brake, etc.) have DTCs: "Engine ecu - no communication".
That means, that the K-Line is working because I can read identification, but the CAN of the engine ECU is dead.
But why can I not read the fault memory? Shouldn't this also work via K-Line?
I have read, that flashing a dump can fix the problem.
Does somebody have a dump?
It is a EDC16U1 (070 906 016 A), 2,5l AXE engine.
Will I need to do anything more after flashing the dump, like coding, immobilizer or anything? Or will this work out of the box?
I am new to this matter and hope, that somebody can teach me how to flash a dump to the ECU.
