HI All , 

Does some one have old sp daten ?   ???2005 2006??? 
Or do you knew what sp daten version  doesn't have the extra key cas security what doesn't allow to add a new key ?

As of the latest release someone tought it was a good idea to set a reputation and post level to get a password.
Sadly I and a lot of other users don't comply to this. 

So, does anyone have an alternative source? Perhaps another forum?

So I did a very stupid thing... after coding some stuff with NCSExpert and getting familiar with coding I thought it was a good moment to remove the s843 - Power reduction option from my car.

I changed the FA/VO in NCSExpert and wrote it to CAS en FRM (which are the modules that store the vehicle order in my car).

After that I tried updating/flashing the DME (MSV80 in my case) with a ZUSB that does not have the power reduction option. I found the right ZUSB with FindECU.exe and tried to update the module but I got the following errors:

It still started fine so after that I had the "brilliant" idea to put the check marks for write UIF on in WinKFP... well after that I got some errors again but now my car won't start anymore.

Now it gives these errors when trying to flash again:

ISTA+ says the coding status of my DME is: 12

INPA still sees the module but with errors:

Is there anyone who would be able to help me through Teamviewer or something as I clearly am not capable of doing this stuff....

My setup:
Windows 7 (64-bit)
K+DCAN cable from one-stop-electronics
Battery tender was connected while updating (so this should really not be the problem)

2008 328xi ISTA connection issues

Hello All,

I've spent the last 3 days searching for info and trying to connect ISTA+ (4.10.20) and/or ISTA/P (3.64.600) on my windows 10 laptop to my e91 (2008 328xi) with no luck. I've connected the same system to my 2014 BMW motorcycle just fine (K-line), but not the car. Basically there is no communication through ISTA+/ISTA/P between the laptop and the car. The info I found on the OBD car plug does not match what my car has, please see the pics. I only have connectors on pins 4, 5, 6, 9, 14 and 16, the last one does have battery voltage without ignition on. The car battery is charged up and I'm using a 10-12 amp charger; I've also tried it with the engine running.

My K+dcan cable is the switchable type that's also compatible with INPA, and I've tried all the switch locations, but being it's for pins 7&8 on the obd side, I can't see it making a difference since I don't have any connectors there on the car. So is this car basically a K-line? I receive the same message, the vehicle could not be identified, with the cable attached to the obd port, or removed from the port.

Before looking closer at the OBD plug, I had tired just about all the usual culprits e.g. comport settings, ran DCANexe withing the first minute of connecting to car, but timed out multiple times, turned off firewall and virus protection etc.

Any help is appreciated!
