Bmw e39 93s66

Hello, I have here instrument cluster from e39 with 93s66 which is write protected. I was able to fill whole memory with FF with programmer. My question is if I cleared the memory to the factory state (which all FF should be), did I also deleted the protection register? The memory should be writeable also with pa soft right now isnt it?
